Trusting and Leaning

By Geevetha Mary Samuel:

Heavenly Father,
In life we go through a great mixture of experiences, of joys and success and also troubled moments. We cross many hurdles and hardship as we pursue our means of survival, in keeping our relationships good and going and in times when health fails us. In all our troubled and sorrowful circumstances, help us always we pray, have the presence of mind to know that You are our God always there for us and there’s nothing too difficult for You to handle. Like the Lord Jesus Christ, who in His most sorrowful times, called upon Your name, let us too, trust all our cares to You and go with the faith that nothing in Your purpose can be thwarted and everything in Your purpose will see a good, happy and glorious ending. Amen!

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Good evening to most, and good afternoon to some. This post was a draft that I was going to release as my second blog post. But I wanted to wait until the Lord told me to do so. The timing of GOD is nothing short of amazing. Each time I tried to finish this post, I just felt like I was missing “something”.

Well, as I write now, I don’t feel that way. And I will explain. I had to go through a very rough few weeks in my home and marriage. So this post was very much a teaching from the Holy Spirit that I had to walk through even more recently prior to posting this.

We must know that their is a very real “adversary” of our soul. I often wonder how so many people can believe and accept that GOD is not real– and that Jesus is not real. If GOD wasn’t real, what is that force that is coming against us, our homes, and our marriages? GOD created all things in HIS own image and likeliness. GOD created all things good. GOD is GOOD.

In Genesis, GOD created man. Adam was perfect in every way. But, Adam was missing something. A wife! And GOD at that moment, in HIS infinite goodness gave Adam what he lacked. The Bible states: “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD (Proverbs 18:22)“. Not only did GOD add to Adam, GOD also gave him favour with that which he added to Adam.

But for every good work of GOD, there is a very real and present adversary of our soul. He is actively working against the very good will of GOD in our lives. The word of GOD instructs us to be vigilant of our adversary.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8

My sisters, there is an enemy of our souls that is out to take and destroy every good work of GOD in our lives, families, and homes. We must be aware of our adversary. When an army declares war against its enemy, they study their enemy and strategically plan a “counterattack” against them. We must study the enemy of our souls and subject him to the power of our GOD in the Word! The enemy knows where to strike in our lives. We MUST know how to counter his attacks. We must be armed and ready to fortify our minds, heart, and faith when our adversary shows himself in areas of our lives! By prayer, fasting, and devotion to the Lord, our GOD.

Do not find it at all odd when you have a seemingly uplifting, great day filled with the very tangible love of GOD– that all hell breaks loose in your life the next day. Though the enemy tries, he cannot prevail! GOD never lied to us about this! His word is clear:
no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
Isaiah 54:17

Aren’t we so blessed to have a Father who tells us what we will face and what HE will
do on our behalf? HE never said that the weapons would not form, but HE did promise us that those weapons WOULD NOT PREVAIL! I know that many of you are being tried. I assure you that I am being tried with you! But understand, there is something POWERFUL on the other side of your trial that the enemy does not want you to HAVE!

I write this blog specifically with YOU in mind! I want you to know that you have VICTORY!  Don’t give up! Don’t grow weary! Do not faint. The promises of the Lord applies to EVERY area of your life. In fact,” For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory (2 Corinthians 1:20)”.

Let Us Pray:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the very victory that your beloved Son, and our blessed Savior, Jesus Christ secured when HE endured on the Cross, prevailing over death, hell, and the grave for all of your children! I ask that you will show us in our private time and quiet moments that we are not alone– and the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s. I ask that you strengthen every woman who feels she just can’t go any further. I ask that you will blow a fresh wind of comfort, joy, and peace upon every woman who reads this tonight. Give your beloved sleep on this night with the blessed assurance that You will perform what you have promised! And you will continue to use all things to the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We choose not to believe another lie of the enemy, but we choose to believe the truth of your Holy Word concerning us. We pray this with great faith that all this shall come to pass. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

How much FAITH does it really TAKE???

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Romans 8:28, 30-32, 37

“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

DON’T believe what you see!

Key Scriptures:

“Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed),

and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality–faith comprehends as fact

what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].” HEBREWS 11:1 (Amplified)

“The end of a matter is better than its beginning; Patience of spirit is better than haughtiness

of spirit (pride).” ECCLESIASTES 7:8 (Amplified)
